Alana Valentine

Award-winning playwright, Alana Valentine, will develop a script based on the story of four generations of women from the Thorburn family who lived in Meroogal the house in Nowra acquired by the Historic Houses Trust in 1995.

Alana Valentine’s Parramatta Girls, directed by Wesley Enoch, opened at Belvoir Street in 2007 to critical success. The play was based on the stories of eight women who were in detention in the Parramatta Girls Homes in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
