This is a unique opportunity to observe up close the renowned Boyd Education Centre designed by Glenn Murcutt, Wendy Lewin and Reg Lark. The Bundanon Homestead, located at the Bundanon property, will also be open from 10.30am. Bundanon is the home to a historic 1860's Homestead, Arthur Boyd's Studio and has beautiful walks to a natural amphitheatre and the river. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the grounds. 

Guided tours of Riversdale are offered as an event of Sydney Design 09.

Glenn Murcutt: Architecture for Place

Visit the Museum of Sydney to view the exhibition Glenn Murcutt: Architecture for Place on show until Monday 5 October. Glenn Murcutt's groundbreaking designs are internationally recognised as being at the forefront of contemporary architecture. This exhibition takes viewers from initial sketch to detailed construction drawings and final model.

Glenn Murcutt will be in conversation with writer David Marr at the Museum of Sydney on Monday 20 July and with David Malouf at the Sydney Opera House on Monday 5 October for World Architecture Day. Watch out for Talking Education Architecture on 1 October at Sydney University's new Law Building, with a panel of speakers discussing exemplars in education architecture.

Glenn Murcutt Self-Drive Tour

On Sunday 12 July Glenn Murcutt will lead a tour through a house in Jamberoo. The tour of the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre, Riversdale will be led by architect Terence Yong, a AAA trained volunteer guide. We will also visit a house in Kangaloon by architect Peter Stronach, principal of Allen Jack + Cottier, award winning architecture firm. Bookings through the Australian Architecture Association.
