ATYP National Young Writers Studio

In December every year, 15 promising young writers from across Australia join atyp’s Fresh Ink writers for a week-long feast of ideas, master classes, collaborative experimentation and sharing of stories. Live-in residencies bring writers together for intense focus and rigorous exploration of their craft, and  while building skills, participants exchange ideas, develop networks and find inspiration away from the distractions of their lives.

National Young Writers’ Studio is  a programme of Fresh Ink, an initiative of the Australian Theatre for Young People (atyp), and is made possible through the generous support of the Graeme Wood Foundation.
