CABARET AT RIVERSDALE

The intoxicating Christa Hughes (previously of Machine Gun Fellatio and Circus Oz) presents her hit cabaret show Beer Drinking Woman.

After sell out seasons at the Famous Spiegeltent, The Studio (Sydney Opera House) and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Christa brings her own unique brand of cabaret to Riversdale.

Beer Drinking Woman is an intoxicating cabaret that is a toast and a tip of the hat to the \"lush\". From the dizzying buzz of that first elegant sip all the way through to the hair -of-the-dog blues, Christa embraces her subject with wit, charm and authority.

Accompanied by pianist Leonie Cohen, Christa will perform songs by Memphis Slim, Tom Waits, Nina Simone, The Tigerlillies, Frank Sinatra, Cold Chisel and of course some of Christa's own compositions.
