Continuum Sax - Clocked Out

Continuum Sax and Clocked Out first met at the 2008 Restrung Festival at the Brisbane Powerhouse where they performed together as part of the Siz-Pack Symphony project. An outcome from this festival was that Continuum Sax and Clocked Out resolved to work together some time in the future. Since the group is split between Sydney and Brisbane, Bundanon will be neutral territory to collaborate. The group proposes to create a 75 minute work for Saxophones, piano and percussion for performance in October, 2011. The outcome of the collaboration will be developed through improvisation and recording. There will be development time to explore sound possibilities as well as specific instrumental techniques.
