Cranbrook School Year 9 boys were introduced to Bundanon with a “Welcome to Country” by local Shoalhaven High School students and mentors. A smoking ceremony was conducted at the gate to the homestead and Nowra Parks and Wildlife Officer Jason gave an informative and entertaining talk about local indigenous history. In the evening, Cranbrook students were treated to a performance of traditional dance by the local students after which everyone was encouraged to join in. The Cranbrook/Shoalhaven venture is an outstanding example of an educational collaboration between city and country; Indigenous and non-Indigenous, which is mutually rewarding.
