The Dorothy Porter Studio was officially launched in September 2009. The studio, designed by leading architects Tonkin, Zulaikha, Greer will be used by leading Australian and international dancers and artists working collabo-ratively. The much awaited studio is an invaluable addition to the Trust’s artist-in-residence facilities.
The poet, Dorothy Porter(1954-2008), author of the Australian Classic, The Monkey’s Mask, plus several other verse novels and collections of poetry was also a song-writer and librettist. It was through her collaborative work with the composer Jonathan Mills that she first came to Bundanon, to work on their opera The Eternity Man.
