How many students does the accommodation at Riversdale cater for?

The accommodation centre at Riversdale generally caters for groups of 32 (including teachers). A further six beds are available if needed in an adjoining area bringing the maximum group size to 38.

What does the cost per night include?

The package for schools includes accommodation, catering, tours of Bundanon Homestead and the Study Centre as well as one Workshop per night stay. A Self-catering option is available.

DO TEACHERS NEED TO PAY?

Yes. Teachers need to include themselves in the total numbers and must pay, to assist us in covering catering and facilities costs.

What workshops are available?

Schools usually choose workshops with our Education Officers to gain the most benefit from their visit. The workshops are designed to provide experiences aimed at engaging students in the environmental, architectural and cultural heritage of Bundanon. Our Education Staff are able to design programs for you to fit specific syllabus requirements and year levels. Some groups choose to run their own programs.

How many days can our group stay?

Bundanon offers day and residential programs. School groups stay for different lengths of time depending on their needs. Two, three or five day programs are usual.

Are weekends available for school groups?

School groups may book at weekends when available, however a surcharge applies due to increased staff costs.

What staffing ratio does my school need for their visit to Bundanon?

We recommend the staffing ration of 1:15 for a residential visit to Bundanon. Whilst in residence, schools are responsible for their students from 5pm until 9am.

How far ahead do I need to book?

Our programs are popular and it is advisable to book at least 6-12 months in advance.
