ELIGIBILITY

The Bundanon Artist in Residence Program is open to professional individual artists and groups by invitation or application.

Applications are sought annually and are assessed by an invited committee of experts. The closing date for 2009 applications is Friday 22 August.

Bundanon supports professional artists’ practice, across all disciplines and at all stages in their career. Bundanon advances contemporary art practice through fostering artists, producers/directors, as well as curators and educators engaged in research and development.

Residencies under this program do not necessarily involve production based outcomes. However, potential to engage with the arts community and audiences regionally, nationally or internationally is desirable.

We encourage:

  • Artists practising in the visual and performing arts, craft and design, digital and technological arts, writers, filmmakers, musicians and sound designers;
  • Collaborative and/or multidisciplinary projects;
  • Groups applying for workshop residencies;
  • Collegiate networks and cultural discourse between critical thinkers, curators and educators. Bundanon supports symposia, masterclasses and conferences;
  • Mentored artist residencies through partnerships with galleries, arts organisations and educational institutions;
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and performers are encouraged to apply.
