The Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre is set on Bundanon Trust's magnificent Riversdale property overlooking Longreach on the Shoalhaven River.
Designed by internationally celebrated Australian architect Glenn Murcutt in association with Reg Lark and Wendy Lewin, the award winning Centre provides arts education programs, hosts special events for visitors, and is available for corporate functions, seminars and conferences.
Up to 32 visitors at a time can enjoy and learn from the Trust's residential programs which are based on the cultural and natural heritage of the Bundanon properties, or simply take advantage of the tranquil setting and outstanding facilities of the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre.
At the heart of the Education Centre is the soaring glass fronted hall overlooking the Shoalhaven River. The hall can accommodate up to 100 people for dining, music rehearsal and performance, workshops, lectures and conferences.
The accommodation wing adjoins the hall and provides for 32 visitors in eight four bed rooms, convertible to sixteen two bed rooms overlooking the Shoalhaven River. There is also separate overflow accommodation sleeping 6 in a 3 bed bunk room. Bathroom facilities are shared. Linen and towels are provided.
The library, situated in one of Riversdale’s original buildings, named after the Mordant family. It houses influential works by Arthur Boyd, and you will find a collection of valuable resource books on Arthur Boyd and the Boyd family, other artists, the Bundanon properties, Australian art history and the arts in general. The library also has DVD/video and slide projection facilities and a music system.
The carpark situated only a short distance from the Boyd Education Centre accommodates approximately 40 cars and has security lighting at night.
