Jessica McElhinney

Jessica is a video artist and animator. Her video work utilises video footage, digital animation and silkscreen animation. Performance and self-portraiture also feature prominently in her work.

During her time at Bundanon Jessica will be working on a new video artwork to be filmed on the Bundanon property. Throughout this residency she will expand upon and further develop her research into the psychology of the house. Jessica feels the seeming domesticity of Yvonne and Arthur Boyd’s home and its residue of family history will be the ideal setting for her to work at creating a new video artwork in.

Most of Jessica’s work has been set and filmed inside, so being able to make use of the abundant natural surrounds of the Bundanon property will allow her to broaden her current artistic concepts.
