A national cultural policy for Australia

The National Cultural Policy web forum is an opportunity for all Australians to contribute to the development of a national cultural policy and help shape Australia’s cultural future.

Your ideas are welcome - whether a comment, or a formal submission - at www.nationalculturalpolicy.com.au

The forum closes 1 February 2010

In his speech to the National Press Club on 27 October 2009 Arts Minister Peter Garrett identified three key themes for consideration:

1. Keeping culture strong

2. Engaging the community

3. Powering the young

These key points, along with other ideas, are expanded on more fully in a discussion framework available on the forum website. This is not an exhaustive list however, so use the National Cultural Policy web forum to tell us what you think.
With your help, the Australian government will create a policy which celebrates and strengthens our culture.

Visit www.nationalculturalpolicy.com.au for more details.
