Katie Noonan

Love Song Circus is a music and physical theatre/circus collaboration between vocalist/composer Katie Noonan, string arranger Stephen Newcomb and the  Brisbane-based circus/theatre company Circa. Love Song Circus is a 60 minute song cycle that explores the world of the female convict. The song cycle will be based on real convict letters arranged for string quartet, bass, guitar and vocals. Once composed, this aural landscape will be transformed into the visual by the unique and brilliant team at Circa, with three female physical theatre experts exploring the songs with their bodies under the direction of Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz. The result will be a music and physical theatre/circus piece investigating love, loss, longing and a little lust.
