Lior

Israeli born, Lior first started in music playing classical guitar when he was just twelve before moving up to playing in bands during his teen years. He is now one of Australia's best selling independent singers.

He first came to prominence with the single This Old Love which charted on Radio JJJ's annual "Hottest 100" at number 42 in 2004. It was followed up in 2005 with the album Autumn Flow which won him three ARIA nominations for Best Breakthrough Artist, Best Male Artist, and Best Independent Release.

More mainstream recognition was to come when Lior's Bedouin Song was performed on Australian Idol by the 2007 runner-up Matt Corby.

His second album Corner of an Endless Road came out in February 2008 to critical acclaim. While he's never enjoyed the luxury of a creative retreat before he says "I do my best writing in chunks" and believes the intense creative atmosphere at Bundanon will suit him as he sets up a body of work for his third album.

This is Lior's second visit to Bundanon. He will be working on music for his next album, and he will also perform an intimate showcase of his music, new and old, at Riversdale on Saturday 3 October 2009.
