Bundanon participated in the ABC’s Australian Open Garden Scheme once again this year. The event saw more than 200 people visit the Bundanon historic gardens on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September, where music was played in open air by Ironwood’s Nicole Forsyth and percussionist Bree van Reyk. With garden tours, talks by specialists across many areas including Gary Warner, Sean O’Connell and Jane Ulman, and art workshops for people of all ages, the event was a success.
We also were delighted to host a special performance at Riversdale by classical guitarists, the Grigoryan Brothers. On Sunday 5 September 2010, the Grigoryan Brothers played a Fathers Day concert to a sold out audience at Riversdale. After a fierce windstorm that persisted right up until the first song was played, the Grigoryan Brothers struck chords of brilliance and left the audience wanting more as they played an encore performance.
