Out There with The Australian Ballet 2010

Bundanon Trust was Out There with The Australian Ballet in schools during the first two weeks of September 2010 when it brought this nationally recognised education program to over 1100 school children in the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands. The talented members of the Education Ensemble from The Australian Ballet engaged primary school students in a rich kinetic literacy and movement workshop program. Education Consultant Helen Cameron conducted professional development for 50 University of Wollongong Grad. Dip Ed. students and lecturers in the Dorothy Porter Studio at Bundanon

2010 Achievements: 354 primary school children participated in both the movement/dance and visual arts complementary workshops 420 younger primary school children, K-4, had a classroom visit and short workshop with two ensemble members 1170 school children, parents, aboriginal education officers, elders and teachers viewed the Talking Doing Dancers presentation and performance 12 primary schools from the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands participated- Nowra East Public School Jervis Bay School Nowra Public School Illaroo Road Public School Bowral Public School Glengarry Public School Hill Top Public School Bundanoon Public School Sutton Forest Public School Avoca Public School Culburra Public School Nowra Anglican College 4 artists from the Australian Ballet dance Ensemble developed work for independent projects.
