Places, Spaces, Sticks and Stones Exhibition

Through Bundanon’s partnership with Access Community Group’s Youth Pathways, young people from 5 local high schools have pursued an interest in the visual arts through a planned sequence of workshops, creating artworks which will be displayed in an exhibition to be held at the Shoalhaven City Arts Centre from June to August.
This exhibition will enable them to share publicly the outcomes of their year’s activities with family, friends and the community.
This program seeks to engage young people in learning which is personal and relevant, improve their self-esteem and confidence and allow them to experience positive learning outcomes.
The creative outcomes of this program are evident through installations, drawings, paintings, photographs and written statements.

Youth Pathways is a federally funded program through the DEEWR whose aim is to support young people to make the transition through school and into further training, study or work. Bundanon trust acknowledges the support of funding for Indigenous youth and emerging Indigenous artists through the Australia Council for this program. The program focuses on Indigenous mentoring programs for young and emerging artists through workshops, master classes, residencies and laboratories within the local communities and schools.
