Riversdale Road update

The road to Riversdale is now dual–lane the whole way!

In November 2009, construction began on stage three of the Riversdale Road Upgrade. The project has seen a major overhaul of a previously difficult and tricky section of road. Staff were subjected to substantial access restrictions during this work with only limited “windows” of time available to get in and out of Riversdale. The wet weather over December and January contributed to delays in the construction as substantial sections were concreted as a result of the steep grades. However, visitors to the Riversdale Festival on Saturday 16 January were some of the first to experience the newly laid road. It was finally completed at the beginning of February, and access into the property eased with staff, visitors and guests now enjoying a smoother safer on site experience. Large buses and coaches now have greater ease of access, particularly around the hairpin bend.
