Secondary Residential Programs

Our secondary education programs are inspired by the cultural, environmental and architectural heritage of the Bundanon Trust properties. We integrate exploration of the artistic heritage of Arthur Boyd and his family with response to landscape and immersion in the natural environment. Our workshops offer a range of approaches to visual art and design practice. Programs are available in a range of disciplines including visual and performing arts, and design & technology. We encourage teachers to discuss their specific needs with the Education Manager before arranging their visit.

The residential programs enable participants to gain a full appreciation of the unique location and facilities of both properties with accommodation at the Boyd Education Centre, Riversdale. Most secondary school visits to the Bundanon Trust commence with a full day at the Bundanon property with the remainder of the visit based at the Boyd education Centre, Riversdale. Schools staying at Bundanon experience an outstanding venue for up to 38 students for music, art and design camps.

A residential program includes:

  • Accommodation at Riversdale and Catering
  • Tour of the Bundanon Homestead & Arthur Boyd’s Studio
  • A visit to the Study Centre and a talk by a member of the collection’s staff
  • Open studio with Artist in Residence (subject to availability)
  • Workshop - one per night stay
