This one day workshop based at the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre at Riversdale explores, with participants from academic, corporate or community backgrounds, the identification of the many different roles involved in being a member of a team. The calming Riversdale environment is conducive to people being able to relax and review their own personal characteristics in a non threatening situation. Workshop leaders use the vehicle of art and design to create team building experiences. Placed in new group situations, individuals work with colleagues to discuss and discover solutions to a set of practical design problems in a supportive environment. Team members identify and acknowledge their own strengths and contributions to the group and also those of other team players. Participants collaborate in the creation of a fun communal artwork, leading to a group discussion resolving this major piece of work.
