Tommy Murphy

Tommy is currently in residence working on his new play “Gwen in Purgatory” which will be performed at Belvoir Street theatre in 2010.

BACKGROUND

Tommy Murphy is an award-winning playwright with recent productions in New York, San Francisco, Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney.

He is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (Director's Course) and a former writer in residence at Griffin Theatre Company.

In 2007, his play Holding The Man won the NSW Premier's Award for Best Play after its sell-out season at Sydney Opera House.
