William Cheeseman and Laura Wills

William Cheesman and Laura Wills have been working collaboratively as an artistic team since 2006. Their Projects include large-scale shelter installations, sculptural objects, drawing and community workshops. They live together and have similar interests such as growing food, cycling, and other outdoor pursuits. Their investigations of social interaction and environmental themes has lead them to create work that explores survival (shelter), Do it yourself (DIY) technologies and the idea of being feral.Their most recent collaboration was a camel skin sleeping pod, Kookaburra Bivvey 2010. This work presented a contrast in the material used which had predominately been found cardboard. William and Laura propose to begin the residency in Adelaide, at the start of a 14 day bicycle journey to Bundanon.
