Following the catastrophic climatic events of last summer Bundanon presents 'We Need to Talk about Fire', a series of conversations with speakers from across the community who share Indigenous knowledge systems, stories of community action, healing initiatives and creative responses to find a way forward.
The We Need To Talk About Fire season includes an extraordinary film series, poems, artist interviews, and three exhibitions - by Ruth Maddison, Wendy Murray and r e a, shared both online and on view in the Bundanon Homestead.
Filmed largely at Bundanon, We Need To Talk About Fire brings into focus critical issues that the devastation of the catastrophic Black Summer Bushfires brought to the front of the national consciousness and international media: climate change, fire management and practices, and the role of fire in regeneration.
