JO DAVENPORT

Saturday 9 May

Join artist Jo Davenport for a painting workshop exploring abstraction of the natural landscape through colour and form. Based in Albury NSW, Jo’s vibrant paintings explore the beauty and profound complexity of nature.

Using gouache paints on paper, participants will be guided through a process of observation, simplification of form and the layering of colour and marks. You will be encouraged to respond to the natural environment at Bundanon, expressing your own experience of the landscape and atmosphere.

TANYA STUBBLES

Saturday 6 June

Join local artist Tanya Stubbles for a workshop exploring material, form and abstraction in response to the landscape, aligned with themes in Bundanon’s current exhibition Sky, Earth, Water.

Based on the NSW South Coast, Tanya spent time at Bundanon with Arthur Boyd during her childhood, an experience that proved formative to her artistic practice. Her work weaves together stories of land, people and place.

In this workshop, Tanya will share her intuitive process of responding to the environment through found and gathered materials as participants create a small assemblage on board to take home. Materials will be provided, or you can bring your own items to include.
