Join author and designer Daisy Braid for a two-hour Bead It Yourself session, where second-hand glass beads, pearls, seashells, and wood become the building blocks to craft a necklace that reflects your own style. This is an accessible and playful introduction to creative jewellery-making with no experience required.

Experiment, express yourself, and explore sustainable craft practices in a relaxed social setting. By the end, you will take home a one-of-a-kind piece and a new appreciation for upcycling and design.

Daisy Braid — aka DIY Daisy — is a content creator, textile artist, and author based on the Gold Coast/Yugambeh Country. Known for her colourful, creative style, Daisy blends handmade clothing with fairly made and second-hand fashion.Her debut book, Sew It Yourself (Hardie Grant, 2022), is stocked internationally at retailers including The MET, Liberty of London, Blackbird Fabrics, and Kinokuniya. Based on the Gold Coast, Daisy runs craft workshops — from sewing to Bead It Yourself upcycled jewellery making — with a focus on making creativity joyful, accessible, and sustainable.
