Man on Fire: Visions of Nebuchadnezzar is a major publication accompanying Bundanon’s 2026 exhibition, bringing Arthur Boyd’s renowned Nebuchadnezzar series into dialogue with a significant new commission by Shaun Gladwell, developed in residence at Bundanon in response to Boyd’s work, landscape and legacy.

Featuring newly commissioned essays, artist reflections and exhibition documentation, the publication includes contributions from Sophie O’Brien, Christos Tsiolkas and Mary Eagle. It captures this significant cross-generational exchange at a pivotal moment in Gladwell’s practice, while contributing to scholarship on Boyd’s legacy and its contemporary relevance.
