Determined to save the world Jill Gientzotis has been a Union Official, Training Executive, first female NSW Commissioner for Vocational Training and Malpa to Aboriginal communities. She has consulted in South Africa and Papua New Guinea and lived in Germany, Japan, Greece and Hong Kong. She has worked to build the Indigenous Art Industry and as General Manager of the National Association for the Visual Arts.

While in residence at Bundanon in 2014, Gientzotis worked on finalising her novel ‘Songs of Heroes’. The novel explores love and loss, truth, memory and the persistence of hope.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
