Art Form: Visual Art

Residency Year: 2024

Lives / Works: Warrnambool, Victoria, Gunitijmara Country

I have been drawing ever since I can remember. My life as an artist started in 2005 when I commenced studying Art, Craft and Design at Southwest TAFE.

Some of my recent achievements include; in 2017 my artwork was featured on a Melbourne Art Tram.

In 2019 I was selected three times for Saatchi Screen, Saatachi Gallery in London. I was also a winner of the 2019 Adelaide Fringe Poster Competition

In 2021 I painted a portrait of Del Kathryn Barton which became a finalist in the 2021 Archibald Prize.

In 2023 I was a Wynne and Sulman finalist at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. That year I created 20 large wallaby sculptures for the Rising Festival in Melbourne, where they were displayed along the Yarra River (Birrarung Marr). My linocut was featured in the Melbourne Now NGV (National Gallery of Victoria) in 2023

In Residence at Bundanon

I am going to turn out a minimum of 10 works on paper 84cm x 58cm using fineliner, ink and acrylic paint for this residency. I am also going to use scratch back paper to scratch into and make a drawing. My plan is to capture the landscape and light available at the residency. We will aim to pick the best of these works for an exhibition at Mossenson Galleries in Subiaco, WA in November 2024.
