DiscoverKirsty Kross is an eco-feminist artist whose practice centres mostly on the trickster archetype, often using alter egos or speculative, immersive interventions to discuss the anxieties, contradictions and uncomfortable truths of the climate crisis and its poly-crisis effects.
Kross holds a Masters from The Berlin University of the Arts and a Bachelors Degree in Art History from The University of Queensland. She has exhibited/ performed at the National Museum of Norway, Tate Modern, Bergen Assembly, Munch Museum, Norwegian Sculpture Association, Gabrovo Biennial, Swedish Artist’s Association, Supermarket Art Fair, Stockholm and Woollahra Gallery in Sydney. From 2000 to 2010 Kirsty Kross was a founding member of the electropunk performance band, Team Plastique that played throughout Europe and Australia at events such as Glastonbury Festival in 2008 and The Big Day Out in 2004 and 2005.
