Bundanon

María Inés Agurto

Art Forms: Installation, Sculpture

Residency Year: 2014

Maria Inés Agurto is a sculpture and installation artist from Peru.

Agurto worked on creating the Dessert Headphones project, inspired by pre-hispanic cultures from Peru called “huaco asa puente”. Agurto planed to create an outdoor adobe sculpture, where the public can interact, principally in an acoustic way. The idea was for people to enter one of both spaces, one for each person at the same time to have sound interactions through the unifying duct.
