APPLY FOR A RESIDENCY - Applications for Bundanon's 2025 Artists in Residence program are now open

Bundanon

Over three months, three regional Aboriginal artists, Aroha Groves, Glenn Duffield and Mark Willers worked with up to 30 men undertaking rehabilitation in Oolong House in Nowra. Bundanon Trust managed the project which resulted in a freestanding carved sculptural installation with digital projections exhibited in a pop up gallery in Nowra’s main street.

CLUB 2540

In 2011 Bundanon, Red Room Poetry Company and Oolong House collaborated on a project Club 2540. Twenty residents from the local rehabilitation centre participated in a poetry and visual arts workshop and residency at the Riversdale to explore the power of ‘poetry’ as a mode of self expression and as part of self healing. The men responded to various provocations including stories, images, newspaper articles, music to create poetry. They talked about their own interests and their lives. They participated in a Didgeridoo workshop. They were given canvas and paints to respond to the physical site and tap into their own feelings about the landscape.
