Ten Trenches was an interdisciplinary arts-science project, which took place at Bundanon in 2009. At its core was a collaboration between two brothers: Tim Cohen, an environmental scientist researching the indicators and effects of sea-level rise on New South Wales river systems and Michael Cohen, a site-based performance and installation artist.
Two teams of collaborators worked together at Bundanon using a series of deep trenches, auger holes and soil samples as the tools of their enquiries, resulting in a field day of conversations with artists, scientists and the public and performances and installations into the evening.
