Guillermo Batiz is a Mexican composer and sound-designer now residing in Australia. His releases include ‘Things I whisper in your ear’ (Vice, 2014); ‘Solar blood’ (MTV, 2012); ‘Yui’ (Static Discos, 2006); ‘Enough about me, let’s talk about me’ (Cyan Records, 2006). Batiz has composed and performed for numerous interdisciplinary projects and festivals in Mexico, North America, Japan and Australia.

Batiz was in residence in 2015 with The Plant Symphony – an experimental audio-visual project created by interdisciplinary artist Tamryn Bennett and Batiz. Through an ongoing series of residencies, The Plant Symphony used a range of digital technologies to develop site-specific sound labs that record and map audio emissions of plants.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
