Lives / works: Gadigal land

Wendy Yu is an interdisciplinary artist who uses dance and creative coding to create works of interactive design and urban media art.

In residence at Bundanon

Yu will be in residence at Bundanon with Samara Hersch and Nithya Nagarajan working on their project Vishakanyas: Poison Maidens.

Vishakanyas: Poison Maidens is a radical feminist interpretation of the relatively unknown myth, Vishakanyas – The world’s OG femme fatales. Part choreography, part conversation, part confession – this relational work invites a reflection on female agency, desire, sensuality and sexuality for female Bharatanatyam dancers in India and the diaspora.
