Miška Mandić is a film-maker, artist, teacher and PhD Candidate at UNSW Art and Design. Mandić is broadly interested in the intersection of cinema, geology and time.  

In residence 2021

Mandić will be in residence at Bundanon in 2021 with dancer and choreographer Rhiannon Newton. During their residency together, they will be exploring how their respective practices in film and choreography support new approaches to thinking in longer durations. How do we perceive the implications of our actions in the present on the scale of hundreds, thousands, even millions of years? Both artist’s practices deal with temporality in response to the contemporary environmental crisis and in this residency they observe and experiment with their disciplinary specific knowledge in relation to this zone of shared concern.
