Frances Barrett is an artist who lives and works on Kaurna land, Adelaide. Her recent projects pivot around the modalities of listening and touch, taking the form of immersive sound installation, live performances and performances with Museum collections.

In residence 2021

During her residency, Barrett will be developing a new video work that responds to the legacy of the performance artist, Katthy Cavaliere. This video will be presented as part of a touring exhibition coordinated by Museums and Galleries of New South Wales. During the residency Barrett will work with Singing Voice Specialist, Joanna Fabro, to develop a vocal composition and performative score for a new performance for video.
