Maria Takolander is an award-winning fiction writer and poet. Her latest poetry collection is Trigger Warning (UQP 2021), and her most recent book of fiction is The Double (and Other Stories) (Text 2013).

In residence 2021

During her residency, Takolander will be working towards the completion of a novel for Text Publishing. The novel, called Earth: A Love Story, is concerned with the climate crisis and the no-less-urgent issue of gendered violence.
