Responding to landscape
Discover the celebrated built environment of Bundanon, where art, architecture, and nature converge within a breathtaking landscape. Home to award-winning architecture from Kerstin Thompson, Glenn Mercutt AO, Reg Lark and Wendy Lewin, harmoniously embedded in Country, Bundanon offers a rare opportunity to experience how design can shape experiences of creativity, collectivity and placemaking.
This annual architecture-themed weekend has become a favourite way for visitors to engage deeply with Bundanon’s architectural legacy through an exclusive itinerary, which includes an architecture tour by Kerstin Thompson Architects. Don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in this extraordinary landscape.
Your Itinerary
- Early Check-In: Settle into our award-winning eco-friendly accommodation.
- Explore the Museum: Join a guided tour of the latest exhibition in Bundanon’s striking Art Museum.
- Architecture Tour: Step behind-the-scenes of Bundanon’s award-winning
architecture with a guided tour led by special guest, Kerstin Thompson. - Drinks & Discussion: Reflecting on his own house, architect Stuart Vokes (Vokes and Peters) explores the ways personal histories, care and ideas are manifest in spatial terms, and how even the smallest projects hold transformative potential. ‘La Grotta’ is a work undertaken as a suite of micro-projects – from the scale of a door handle through to a suburban garden. The project is a house of ideas that has both borrowed from and inspired many of the commissions in the studio during a 15-year period.
- Twilight Feast: Bundanon X Bangalay – This one-night only collaboration brings together Bangalay chef Simon Furley and Bundanon Executive Chef Douglas Innes-Will over a feast inspired by the exhibition Man on Fire: Visions of Nebuchadnezzar. Bangalay’s acclaimed dining experience—renowned for native ingredients and finesse—meets Bundanon’s exceptional natural setting in a three-course dinner, where craft and flavour are tested through culinary expression. Paired drinks included.
- Good Morning: Enjoy a continental breakfast to energise your day.
- Guided Cultural Walk: Take part in a guided walk introducing ways of reading Country, led by local custodians.
- Final Exploration: Visit the historic Homestead and Arthur Boyd’s Studio, enjoy a relaxed afternoon tea, or pick up our Bushwalking Guide and take a self-guided bushwalk through the surrounding landscape.
