Alexandra Drysdale lectures on art with NADFAS and was in residence at Bundanon as part of her visit to Australia in 2007. While in Australia Alexandra has been presenting a series of lectures titled, Red Vibrations. Alexandra's lectures grow out of her art. For example, this recent series of lectures, Red Vibrations, developed when she was making a series of paintings about love in which she was using an awful lot of red and it inspired her to think about the meaning of red and how artists in the past and present have used this colour. Her lectures aim to open people's eyes to the language of painting in a new and exciting way.
Alexandra Drysdale was born in 1962 and grew up in Surry. She attended Chelsea School of Art from 1981-1985 where she gained a First in Fine Art. She has been painting and exhibiting her work since then. Alexandra lives and works in Cambridge and when she is not lecturing she is in her studio making paintings and drawings.
