Kylie Elkington

Kylie Elkington's work responds to various environments by applying intuitive and experiential knowledge to particular places.  Individual experiences and cultural histories mould our perceptions.  Her work hovers gently between being a representation of an actual location and the expression of poetic feelings about a place through the application of various media (oil paint, gouache, water colour, pencil) to the two-dimensional surface (linen, plywood, paper, canvas).
