As the first light spreads across Country, dancers move through the landscape in a powerful collective choreography, transforming the quiet hours of morning into a shared ritual of movement, reflection and renewal.
Created by Daniel Riley and Brianna Kell, RISE invites audiences to pause, breathe and reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world. Join us in welcoming a new day through a ceremony of bodies, land and light.

Australian Dance Theatre is the rebel of contemporary dance in Australia. Since ADT’s inception, they’ve expanded the horizons of contemporary dance in this country. Their works ask big questions, unearth untold stories and shake the very core of our identity. They create cutting-edge choreographies where the ancient and the contemporary collide.
Led by Artistic Director Daniel Riley and Executive Director Nick Hays, ADT is made up of an ensemble of professional dancers, supported by a dedicated team of staff, ADT centres artistry, care and collective creativity. Daniel Riley is a Wiradjuri man and is the first Blak Artistic Director of ADT. Since becoming Artistic Director he has made seven works for the company that have toured all over Australia, including to every major Australian Festival. ADT are based on Kaurna Yerta and take their work across South Australia, Australia and the world.
Make Good Festival is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
