Born in Aotearoa and now working and living on Gadigal land in Australia, Aimee Gardyne is a visual artist working in installation and drawing. Her practice involves experimental drawings which use material agency as a way of engaging with the vitality of her local area.
Gardyne’s time at Bundanon will involve drawing from the local plants, critters, geology and atmosphere to produce painted and sculpted forms as her practice moves into new forms including bioplastics, weaving and ceramics.
