Andrew Treloar

Art Forms: Design, Visual Art

Residency Year: 2018

Lives / Works: Australia

Andrew Treloar is an interdisciplinary artist working between contemporary art, performance and fashion practice. He develops his projects and hosts others in his artist-run dance space.

Treloar was an artist in residence at Bundanon in 2018 with dancer Luigi Vescio. Together they worked on a performance piece utilizing dance, live sound, objects and set. The performance outcome aimed to reflect the rapidly evolving world, revealing the dancers’ bodies relationship to vibrational frequencies, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence and the dissolve of traditional stereotypes of gender.

The work is equally about exploring the relationship between sound and movement, as it is an exploration of the unwavering intrinsic human desire to reach beyond, create the new and ultimately evolve.
