Residency Year: 2009

Lives / Works: Australia

Berenice Carrington is a visual artist whose practice brings together drawing and ethnography.

Carrington’s drawings began as doodles and broke into a series of imaginary portraits of anthropologists and sociologists. These drawings, made at intervals during her research, were the start of the creative interrogation that unfolded during her residency at Bundanon in 2009.
