Cassie Hamer is a Sydney-based writer whose short fiction has been published in several anthologies, including The Best Australian Stories 2017 (Black Inc.) and Shibboleth and other stories (Margaret River Press). Hamer was the recipient of the 2018 Shoalhaven Literary Award.

During her residency, Hamer worked on her debut novel, ‘After The Party’, which was published by Harlequin in 2019. She also worked on her second novel ‘The End Of Cuthbert Close’, which was published in 2020.
