Eileen Chong is a poet based in Sydney, Australia. Chong writes about food, family, migration, love and loss. The Singaporean-Australian poet Boey Kim Cheng has said that ‘Chong’s work offers a poetry of feeling, rendered in luminous detail and language, alive to the sorrows and joys of daily living.’

Chong was in residence for Bundanon’s 2016 Poetry Workshops in partnership with The Red Room Company’s Eucalyptus Eco-Poetry Project (EEPP).

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
