Fiona Kelly McGregor is a writer and performance artist. She has published seven books, including the photoessay A Novel Idea, and award winning novel Indelible Ink.

During residencies at Bundanon in the 2010s, McGregor worked on a novel based on the life of busker and petty thief Iris Webber, set in the criminal milieu of 1930s inner Sydney, as well as essays from the collection Buried not Dead, published in 2021.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
