Read MoreJohn Gray is an Australian Architect who has been a resident in New Zealand for 40 years, migrating from Melbourne to establish the School of Architecture at Victoria University in Wellington in 1975. He has practiced architecture in Australia, the UK, and New Zealand, specialising in housing, interior and urban design and the development of standards for assessing the performance of commercial buildings
During this residency, Gray’s collaborator, Anne Nobel, aimed to create a suite of native bee houses to be permanently located in trees at Bundanon. Noble worked with Gray to compile a series of studies during the residency, with the research and findings being applied in future public art projects designed for urban environments.
