Kirk Page trained at the National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Association in Sydney and has continued being a student since then. While in residence together, Kirk Page, Jade Dewi Tyas Tunggal, Anna Liebzeit and Ria Soemardjo undertook The Smoke Project, which looks into the relationship and symbolism of smoke in ceremony, health, pollution and currency through the creation of an Indigenous Intercultural Performance. Whilst at Bundanon the group experimented and refined the themes of the work in preparation for rehearsals in mid 2019.
