My project for the residency at Bundanon is to continue to develop my drawing practice in a completely new environment and document the local landscape through my rendering of that environment. I feel that the foundation for my artistic development lies within the gathering of vision information and the opportunity to practice on a daily timetable and be able to develop a body of drawing concepts that can then be used as creative levers for my paintings, my printing, my ceramics and future claymations.
I have been concentrating on a body of work about the empowerment of women and the documentation of women. I want to convey the strength of women in these drawings and paintings as I come from a matrilineal bloodline of incredibly strong women.
